Right of Way Permits

All contractors must be registered, licensed and bonded with the City of Walker before starting work.

  • Must also include:
    • Performance bond as determined by the Department of Public Works 
    • A current Certificate of Insurance with the City of Walker listed as the Certificate Holder. 
• ROW Permit Application
  • This permit application is to be used for Commercial, Residential, Utility and Telecommunications. 
• ROW Small Cell Permit Application
• ROW Blanket Permit Application

Oversize/Overweight Permits

Drivers wishing to move oversize/overweight vehicles or loads on City of Walker roadways are required to apply for one of the listed Transport Permit Forms on MDOTs website. Once an MDOT permit number has been obtained, applicants must contact the City of Walker Department of Public Works for jurisdictional approval by emailing our office the following: 

• MDOT Permit
• Proposed Route Map/Sketch

This process ensures the safety of the motoring public from potential traffic hazards, protection of highway surfaces, structures and private property and maintains the normal flow of traffic with a minimum of interference.
