Property Tax Payments

Property Tax Payments

The Walker Treasurer's office is open to the public between 7:30 am and 5 pm every Monday through Thursday and between 7:30 am and 11:30 am every Friday, excluding holidays. The city also has a drop box available for after-hours payments. The green city drop box is located next to the two blue U.S. Postal Service boxes in the parking lot outside of city hall.

Property tax payments are due in our office by 5 pm on the bill's due date. Payments received after the bill's due date are subject to late fees. If you choose to mail your payment, please allow ample time for postal delivery.

Postmarks are not accepted as the date of payment.

The city will accept partial payments towards a property tax bill.

Property Tax Payment Options

The City of Walker accepts the payment forms of cash, personal or business checks, bank cashier checks, money orders, E-checks, and credit/debit cards. If you issue a check using your bank's online bill payment system, please use your property's parcel number as the account number in order that we may properly identify and apply your payment.

Credit or Debit Card Payments

Payment for current year property taxes may be made using a credit or debit card. These payments are processed for the City of Walker by a third-party company named Point and Pay. Please be advised that Point and Pay will charge you a non-refundable convenience fee (PDF) for your transaction.
