The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is looking for feedback on its five-year plan. Below is a snapshot image of the plan as it pertains to us in Walker, showing some work along the 131 corridor and a resurfacing of the existing Fruit Ridge overpass of I-96.
MDOT roads in Walker include I-96, a small portion of US-131, Lake Michigan Drive (M-45), Wilson Avenue (M-11) from Remembrance Road south, Remembrance Road (M-11) from Wilson west and Alpine Avenue (M-37) from Three Mile Road to the north. These are the state owned roads where MDOT is responsible for operations and maintenance.
