The City of Walker Planning Commission conducted a public hearing on Wednesday, February 6, 2019. The Planning Commission reviewed a draft Walker Master Plan amendment titled “Subplan #1-A Future Land Use Plan.” This document analyzes and makes recommendations for future land use in the area west of Walker Avenue, north of I-96, east of the Ottawa County line, and south of 4 Mile Road.
Anyone may review the project file at the City of Walker Community Development Department, 4243 Remembrance Rd., N.W., Walker, Michigan 49534 during normal business hours, which are 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM Monday through Thursday and 7:30 AM – 11:30 AM on Friday. All documents associated with this master plan amendment can be found on the Walker website at www.walker.city.
With advanced notice to the city clerk of seven calendar days, the City of Walker will provide interpreter services at public meetings, including language translation and signage for the hearing impaired.
