Finance / Human Resources

The Finance Department performs administrative and professional work in the formulation and coordination of policies in managing the financial operations of the City, including, but not limited to:  budgeting, accounting, payroll, risk management, purchasing, revenues, special assessments, and cash management.  We serve as a liaison between finance, income tax, treasury, and assessing. 

We advise and consult with the City Manager or the Assistant City Manager and Department Heads on fiscal policy compliance issues and perform administrative and professional management of Human Resource issues and policies.  The department also works directly with the Assistant City Manager in formulating policies and procedures for personnel, coordinating all benefit programs for City Employees and overseeing employee retirement plans.
