DPWThe Department of Public Works is responsible for the maintenance of the following:

- Major and Local Street Maintenance
- Motor Pool Equipment

- Building Maintenance
- Parks
 
- DDA

There are a total of 22 full time employees and 1 seasonal employee in the Department of Public Works Department.
Road Crew -  17 full time  employees, which includes 1 Public Works Director,  2 supervisors, 1 crew leader and 1 office staff.   The crew maintains 46.15 miles of Major Streets and 69.77 miles of Local Streets.  Maintenance of streets includes street sweeping, storm sewer cleaning, patching holes and snow removal.

Garage -  3 full time employess which includes 1 supervisor, they maintain 124 city vehicles.
Building Maintenance  - 2 full time employees which includes 1 supervisor.  They are  responsible for the maintenance of 5 city buildings.
Parks - Maintain approximately 92 acres of city grounds, parks and cemetaries.
